As a creative tech agency passionate about bridging culture and digital innovation, we were proud to serve as the digital development partner in the Erasmus+ project Story Motion, a European collaboration focused on transforming traditional cultural education into interactive, mobile-first experiences.
The project explored how emerging technologies like augmented reality (AR), immersive media, and AI-powered content can be used to tell compelling stories rooted in local history, while also promoting skill development in the cultural tourism and education sectors.
Our agency was entrusted with the challenge of bringing cultural stories to life in a way that is mobile, immersive, and scalable across different European regions. Working closely with cultural experts, educators, and performers, we translated their knowledge and vision into digital tools designed for real-world impact.
Story Motion Mobile App
A multilingual app that guides users through real-life cultural sites, using augmented reality overlays, narrated tours, and location-based triggers. The app allows users to interact with virtual characters, unlock historical facts through gamified challenges, and explore hidden layers of cultural significance, all from their phone.
AR Scene Builder
We developed a backend system for partners to easily upload and manage content, including 3D visuals, scripted dialogue, and route data. This allowed local stakeholders to customize the experience for their own towns, landmarks, or events.
Hybrid Content Model
The app integrates printed materials (maps, posters, QR-coded signage) with digital experiences to ensure accessibility even in low-connectivity areas, bridging the gap between analog tourism and smart heritage tech.
Data and Insights Dashboard
A lightweight analytics tool provided to project partners to help them understand user engagement, most popular routes, and how different audiences interact with the content.
The Story Motion platform gave communities a new way to connect audiences with their cultural heritage, while also supporting local economies through more engaging, tech-enhanced tourism. For youth and professionals involved in the training activities, it also meant acquiring practical experience in digital storytelling, UX design, and immersive media production, skills that are increasingly in demand across Europe’s creative and tourism sectors.
