SignalPaths is an project that helps young people learn in a more flexible, personalised, and engaging way. It’s designed especially for those who may feel disconnected from traditional education, including young people not in school, training, or work (NEETs).
The idea is simple: everyone learns differently, and learning should adapt to the person — not the other way around.
This project creates digital tools that follow each learner’s path, offering the right support at the right time. Our agency led the development of the main technology used in the project.
SignalPaths uses simple signals, like how fast someone is moving through lessons, what they’re clicking on or how often they come back to gently adjust what content they see next. It’s like a smart learning companion that pays attention and adapts.
A friendly, easy-to-use app that delivers short lessons on:
Life skills
Mental health
Creativity and career planning
Digital skills and citizenship
The app includes:
Quizzes and interactive content
Mini-challenges and games
Personal progress tracking
Tips and encouragement based on activity
Behind the app is a system that watches how learners interact — and then adjusts what comes next. For example:
If someone is going too fast, it might suggest a review
If they haven’t opened the app in a while, it might offer a short, fun activity to re-engage
If they’re stuck, it can recommend easier content first
Teachers and youth workers get a simple tool to:
Upload and organise content
Track learner progress
See what’s working and what needs improvement
Send group or individual challenges
We also helped create a practical guide for educators on how to use the platform in group activities, one-on-one coaching, or blended learning sessions.
Helps learners stay motivated and feel supported
Gives educators better insight into their group’s needs
Encourages independent learning, one small step at a time
Works both online and offline — even in areas with limited internet
